Moving on....

DJ Caterina has a new home -- visit me at Audio Rumble.

The Caterina Escape began as a way to share my college radio show playlist at Radio UTD at The University of Texas at Dallas. It evolved into commentary on pop culture, celebrity gossip and music news. However, I graduate in December with a communications degree and it's time I laid this escape to rest.

But now to worry, friends....DJ Caterina is moving on to another blog - Audio Rumble.

Audio Rumble will be a place to catalog the many, many Tommy Conwell and Tommy Conwell-related items I own.

Who knows, maybe someday I can show all this stuff off on Antiques Road Show!

Thanks for all the e-mails and comments, posted and not-posted.

See you at Audio Rumble!

Country Music Wanes

Radio promoters are lamenting that the Southwest -- Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas -- once known as the best place to break country music, is now the last place likely to break a new act or get airplay on a new single.

According to a senior VP of promotion at Warner Bros. Nashville, "...if you're not
George Strait, the Southwest is absolutely the hardest place to start any record, whether it's an established act or a new artist."

That's why he's known as King George, ya'll.

The Morning Drive

It takes DJ Caterina approximately 28-29 minutes in the morning to get to work.

And to pass the time?

Burn both copies of Buzz Zeemer's works -- and go, go, go

"All Through the Night" - Cyndi Lauper
"If She Knew What She Wants" - The Bangles

Hear him at World Cafe Live on April 14.

A marketing survey -- that works!

No less than six months ago, DJ Caterina was sent a marketing survey from I-Tunes on what they could do to increase business with me.

I made mention of the following artists that were woefully under-represented:

Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers
Tommy Conwell and the Little Kings
Flight of Mavis
Buzz Zeemer
Frank Brown

Lo and behold when I searched for 4 out of 5 of them today on I-Tunes...there they all were! No Young Rumblers yet, though.

But for the rest...you can thank me later.
